Wait, is this sourdough or wheat?
It’s both! This is a fusion of the Classic Sourdough Loaf meets Wheat. We have figured out how to combine the best of both worlds from wheat and from sourdough, starting off with the typical sourdough process. We then bring wheat into the party, which changes the color, texture, and flavor. What we discovered is that we still have the same baking results as a Classic Sourdough bread, but we have a mildly more dense bread. The color is a very light tan and you can both smell the wheat and taste that smooth yet distinct flavor of both timeless classics.
Is this real wheat?
Yes, If you’re concerned about a gluten allergy, steer clear on this one.
How long does it take to make?
This still takes two days, just like our Classic Sourdough Loaf. We still use the same live starters and the same dough base so there’s no cutting corners on this one.
(1) Day one to prepare the dough
(2) Day two for baking.
