How long does an order take and why?

We fulfill orders within 24-48 hours (we are closed on Sundays)

Sourdough products take two days to fulfill because of the preparation process.

Orders placed before 4pm, Monday – Friday will have the order ready the next business day. Our dough is hand-kneaded and leavened with live starter that is both healthy for you, and takes time to rest. These orders will be fulfilled the following business day.

Orders placed between 4:01PM Friday or 4PM Monday will begin the dough preparation on Monday. Exceptions: Orders placed in advance or with prior arrangements may schedule a different fulfillment date. Please contact us in advance for an exception to this time block.

Cinnamon Rolls:

These items are prepared and baked in same day. The bake time can vary depending on whats in the queue.

Cookies:

Doughs are prepared many hours in advance because of the tempering process. Orders are fulfilled the next day.

Madeleines:

These treats are prepared and baked very early, then permitted to rest.  These orders are fulfilled the next day.

Macarons:

These treats are also prepared and baked very early, then permitted to rest. These orders are also fulfilled the next day. Additionally, be mindful that large orders may need a couple of days lead time to ensure adequate time exists to fulfill an order.

 

How long does an order take with multiple items?

The order will be marked as ready when the last item is baked.

The items that finish baking last are typically our Cinnamon Rolls. These need to be made and baked in the same day. Cinnamon roll dough is at rest while breads are baking and thus, they typically follow the breads.

What should I expect when I place an order?

You may chose to create an account or checkout as a guest.

  1. Our checkout flow will tally your order, add sales tax (required by Utah Tax Commission), and allow you to checkout with our payment processor.
  2. You’ll receive an order confirmation with an order number and contact details if you need to reach us.
  3. The charge will appear on your banking statement as SaratogaBakers.
  4. When the payment has cleared the payment processor (this is fairly quickly), you’ll receive a confirmation email that your order is processing. Contact us if you need to modify your order (exceptions for orders placed after hours and on the weekends apply).
  5. When your order comes out of the oven, we update the status to complete and you’ll receive an email that your order is ready for pickup.

You can pick up any time during business hours.

We will require you to provide an order number so that we don’t mix up the order or disclose other customer details.

 

What if I can’t pickup my order?

This is applicable for our local customers that intend to pickup and then life happens.

Try to notify us just as soon as you are able. We can always hold your order for pickup the following calendar day (if life interferes on Saturday, we will let you pick up on Sunday). If you are unable to pickup the order within 24 hours and you’ve notified us right away, we’ll work with you. Just Contact Us using our web service or the confirmation email. Can I order as a gift for somebody else?

Yes, with an exception.

We aren’t able to ship. You or the person receiving a gift needs to be local enough to pick up the order. If the order will be picked up by your gift recipient, please make sure to do the following.

  1. Provide the order ID to your guest.
  2. Contact us and let us know who will be picking up the order so that we can put a note on the order. If we know the email address of the recipient, we can send the pickup information,
  3. Please be sure to forward the order complete/pickup email when your order is ready if you do not provide us with an email for the gift recipient.

 

If I order online may I change my fulfillment date?

Yes. If you want to place an order and then have it ready for a custom time, please use our Contact Us page or use the contact information in the email confirmation. Let us know that you need to modify the fulfillment date and we’ll note the order. We will with you, provided the pickup is at a reasonable time of day.  

 

How do I place a large order for an event or party?

We only consider orders to be large if they will exhaust / exceed daily inventory or if the order will immediately interfere with other patron’s ability to place an order. Please use the Contact Us page so that we can arrange an order that works with your needs.  

 

Do you deliver?

Not at the present time.  

 

Do you offer shipping?

Not at the present time.  

 

Do you offer Refunds, Returns, or Exchanges?

We may offer a refund or a credit if we have failed at delivering a baked good. By failed, we mean that something didn’t bake properly.
