What type of bread are the biscuits?
Would you believe that these are sourdough also?
That’s right, they’re not buttermilk like you find on all of the branding at the grocery store. Our biscuits are from good old-fashioned sourdough and they’re just delicious. If you like biscuits as we do, then we’re betting that you can’t eat just one.
Our Sourdough Biscuits begin with the same live starter that all of our sourdough breads use. We then hand-knead our own dough and do not put any additives or preservatives into the mix. After we bake them, we butter the tops for flavor. They have that perfect soft yet flaky texture on the outside with the tender warm biscuity goodness on the inside. We’ve learned from dinner rolls that some individuals like sweetened rolls. Let us know and we’ll glaze them for you. Again, no processed sugars here! Eat them whole, slice them and butter them, or add jams or honey. No matter how you slice it, they’re great! We love them and you will too.
We make the Classic Sourdough, the Cranberry Walnut Sourdough, the Sandwich Loaf, the Dinner Rolls, the Sourdough Biscuits, and the English Muffin all from the same base process. All of these little goodies are actually healthy for you because of that live starter yeast. All of these products take two days to prepare and bake because of the dough preparation process; however, each one of them is leavened differently and baked differently. There’s some magic that happens here and the result of dedication yields wonderful flavors, all unique to each of the breads.
Everything is made with love.
